Private Lessons (Mountain View, Palo Alto or at your home)

One-on-one instruction provides the most attentive learning experience.

Students will attend weekly one-on-one instruction in piano, violin, viola, guitar, voice, clarinet, flute, saxophone and music theory. Each lesson will include ear training, music theory, and sight-reading. Duration of the classes can be 30, 45, or 60 minutes in length based on student’s level. Tuition is $40 for 30-minute lessons, $60 for 45-minute lessons, and $80 for 60-minute lessons. Students will also be required to purchase music books and music accessories for the lessons.

We also provide home lessons for your convenience. Additional travel fees may be applied based on your location. Please call for availabiltiy of service in your area.

Semi-private Lessons (Mountain View or Palo Alto)

Semi-private classes are fun and enjoyable for everyone.

This program is designed for students who would like to learn lessons with siblings, friends and classmates (2 students) in all the above instruments.  It is a great option for beginners to experience the joy of playing music together with affordable rate. This class meets once a week with an instructor for 45mins class.  Tuition is $30 per student. Students will also be required to purchase music books and music accessories for the lessons.

Group Lessons (Mountain View location only)

Group lessons are offered for more than 2 students who want to attend lessons together.

This program is designed for students who would like to learn lessons with siblings, friends and classmates (2 students) in all the above instruments.  It is a great option for beginners to experience the joy of playing music together with affordable rate. This class meets once a week with an instructor for 45mins class.  Tuition is $30 per student. Group Keyboard (Music for Young Children)

Sunshine (3-4 years old): The Sunshine program includes large muscle experiences in beat and rhythms as well as fine motor experiences in rhythm instrument ensemble playing. By the end of the first year, Sunshine's students will be able to read and play music in C major and middle C position. Additional pre-reading skills, such as sorting patterns (with colorful visual aids), gluing and coloring, are part of the program as well.

Sunbeam (5-6 years old): The Sunbeam program is designed for kindergartners and first graders, provide "big kid" lyrics to introduce concepts, finger numbers, and keyboard geography. Songs and games are used to encourage and reinforce listening.

Observation of current class: Not Available

 

Both Sunshine and Sunbeam programs last from 1 to 2 years, depending on the age of the student. Each level consists about 36 lessons and each lesson is 50 minute long with parent participation required. Tuition and material fees are due at the time of registration. Three payments of $240 will be due on the first class of Fall, Winter, and Spring. We offer 3 sessions of 12 classes in each season. There is also a $50 material fee for each session.


Guitar (8-11 years old)

Group guitar lessons are designed for beginner's student. It involves a small group of 4 to 8 students and one instructor. Students will work together to learn the proper posture, note reading, basic chords, strumming and master the skills of playing the guitar step by step. This is an ideal starting course for student to build up their interest before moving on to private lessons.


Duration: 50 minutes class (once a week)
Rate: $150 for 6 weeks ($25 per class)

Group Theory Class (ABRSM Grade 5 Theory)

As instrumental skills progress, development in music theory and musicianship becomes increasingly important in helping students to perform with sensitivity, understanding and confidence.

 

Candidates are required to pass Grade 5 Theory or Grade 5 Practical Musicianship or Grade 5 Jazz in order to progress to practical exams at Grades 6, 7 and 8.

 

Theory exams provide assessment of the theoretical knowledge necessary to become a well-rounded musician.


Duration: 60 minutes class (once a week)
Rate: $320 for 16 weeks ($20 per class)

Violin (8-11 years old)

Group Violin lessons are designed for beginner's student. It involves a small group of 4 to 8 students and one instructor.
